A strong PTA needs the support of parents, family members, teachers, school staff, and community members. Anyone who cares about children belongs in the PTA! #2Joining the PTA means I have to volunteer. The PTA appreciates everyone's membership, whether or not a member volunteers.
  • What is the main role of the PTA?
The main role of the local PTA is to build strong working relationships among parents, teachers and schools, in support of students. ... At schools where the PTA raises a significant portion of the school's discretionary money, the PTA has a lot of power to influence which programs are funded.
